In this post, I’m going to share my opinions about comfort zone which I believe everyone has their own. So do I.
But there are certain times where we feel like we should get out of this comfort zone in order to improve ourselves in becoming someone better than before.
Seems understandable, right?
Whatever it is, you should know yourself when and where is your comfort zone will be.
I believe that you guys feel like you had a certain times where you feel safe and secure, right?
For example, when you passed your exam with flying colours, you feel like: “Oh, this is great!” and automatically you will decrease your effort to study harder for the next semester like I did. Huhu.
I felt guilty for myself. This is bad. (I talked about this as I’m waiting for my exam result which will come out soon – unknown date actually).
Honestly, I felt like when I’m home, I feel secure, yes, I’m in the comfort zone. As I know that I have my family members besides me always and always.
However, do you know that it is not okay to always being comfortable in that comfort zone that we created ourselves? Hoho.
Why? Let’s look it from the a few perspectives.
1) Education – “I did it!”
When we knew that we did well in our examination, seriously we will feel like we are in the comfort zone.
We won’t being influenced to try harder for the upcoming exam or tests.
Then, we might felt like we are too confident in facing the upcoming exam, thus lead us decrease our efforts in studying. Huhu.
Please don’t do this!
2) Religion – “I’m okay with who and how am I right now.
There are certain times when we feel like we are pious enough. Astaghfirullah.
And there are certain times that we feel comfortable and happy when we did not do what Allah says such as covering our aurah completely.
We might think that Allah let us do so as He did not punished us directly, but do not wait for Allah’s punishments and later you change.
We never know if there is tomorrow for us.
And to those who are in comfort zone, please, do not become futur (futur – perasaan malas atau senang selepas rajin dan bersungguh – sungguh melakukan sesuatu).
Do not ever think that way. When you feel like you want to do good deed, but your heart says no, PLEASE DO THAT GOOD DEED AND IGNORE WHAT YOUR HEART SAYS.
This is because it is a sign that our heart has slowly being influences by the devil. Na’uzubillah.
How do you know that you are entering your comfort zone?
You feel comfortable in your state/situations.
You feel very lazy to get out of your comfort feeling of being in that state.
You feel secure and safe in doing things that you always do.
You’ll know and realise yourself. Soon.
Well, if you saw, realised and know something wrong-doings by any of your family, friends or maybe yourselves, do not hesitate to turn back to Allah.
Being in comfort zone might a dead end for us if we did not realised it early. Allah, forgive me for being in this comfort zone for such a long time.
Do not wait until Allah gives His punishments as warnings for our wrong-doings. Na’uzibillah.
As a conclusion, let’s understand this translation of verse 6, Surah At-Tahrim from al-Quran which is as follow:
Wahai orang-orang yang beriman! Peliharalah diri kamu dan keluarga kamu dari neraka yang bahan-bahan bakarannya: manusia dan batu (berhala); neraka itu dijaga dan dikawal oleh malaikat-malaikat yang keras kasar (layanannya); mereka tidak menderhaka kepada Allah dalam segala yang diperintahkanNya kepada mereka, dan mereka pula tetap melakukan segala yang diperintahkan.”
Let’s get out of our comfort zone.
We might being given something that we do not expected to have. I did it. You should try it and do not afraid. Now! ^^
